Design- Lisbon's Le Meridien Park Atlantic is part of the French hotel group, this 331-room hotel can be found at the Marquês de Pombal roundabout overlooking the landscaped Eduardo VII park. It's a popular destination for large tour groups, but recent renovations have elevated the modern premises beyond hotel chain status.
New rooms enjoy a feng shui-inspired décor and Philippe Starck-styled bathrooms; it's a look to rival the handful of design hotels in the city. Clients who opt for the top suite are also able to invite guests for a soirée on their private balcony.
The service and facilities are equally impressive: on-site cinema screenings are frequently arranged and guests are entitled to discount rates at the Clube VII health and sports complex opposite. The company has also invested in the hotel's bars and restaurants as separate entities; the L'Appart brasserie is laid out as different rooms of a house and the Ganesh bar is a jumble of Eastern influences. Surprisingly stylish for a chain hotel. -
